This is one of my 'brocade rose' purses. It has a blue stipple-quilted silk main body and a curvy red/black brocade front flap which is finished with a dainty little red rose trim. The purse measures approx. 11 x 15cm, and the front flap closes with a magnetic clasp fastening. The blue dupion fabric that I have used has a slubbed, slightly textured surface, which is a characteristic of this type of silk. The purse is lined throughout in black satin fabric. The closed bag measures approx. 15cm x 25cm, and fastens with a gilt magnetic clasp just inside the centre of the front flap. I have designed the bag with weddings in mind, to be used by the bride or bridesmaids, but you could just as easily use it for any occasion.
