Made using a beautiful white stained glass, each Waterlily petal has been hand cut, smoothed and edged with copper foil. Each piece was soldered round the edge and washed and polished before the pieces were joined to create the Waterlily. The stamen in the stained glass Waterlily have been created using yellow glass beads and silver plated pins and these were soldered into place before the base of the pieces was covered with crushed glass to complete the centre of the flower. Lastly little rubber bump feet were stuck on the bottom to protect the surface you will stand it on. This piece measures approximately 15cm across and 8cm tall. This comes supplied with a handcrafted vanilla scented yellow tealight candle so that it is ready to use as soon as you receive it. Imagine a warm sunny day by the river and two Dragonflies take a rest from their aerial acrobatics and stop for a rest on a patch of Bull Rushes. Below them watery bubbles pop up around the base of the rushes creating a pattern of their own. This gorgeous piece would make a perfect as a gift for a loved one's birthday, an anniversary, or as an impromptu gift for someone who loves Dragonflies as much as I do. Unfortunately the photos I've taken really don't do the piece justice as it looks so much better in real life than it does in the photographs. Made using the Tiffany method each piece is individually hand cut and shaped, copper foil is applied to the edges, the initial soldering is done and the piece is soldered into sections. Then comes the wet bit as all these sections are washed, dried and polished. Next the complete piece is soldered together into the design you see, before a last wash to make sure it is clean. The silver coloured spider web and spider have been mounted on a piece of glossy black stained glass. The glass for this piece was hand cut, smoothed to the perfect shape, carefully edged with copper foil and then a light coating of lead free solder was added. The silver coloured spider web was created by hand, using several lengths of coated wire, and carefully attached to the glass piece. The spider was then added to complete it. Lastly a silver plated jump ring has been used to attached the piece to the black satin ribbon choker. The handcrafted choker measures approximately 39cm (15.5 inch) and has a 6cm extender chain, finished off with a single black bead.
