I've handknitted and hand-embroidered this cosy using bright blue and white dk cashmere/merino wool, using thinner needles than usual to give a dense fabric that will keep all that heat in. This cosy is made to fit an 8 cup bodum cafetiere. It's a nice snug fit and fastens using corset hooks, which I find much easier to handle than buttons when dealing with a hot pot. It's handwashable or can be popped into the machine on a handwash 30 degree cycle.
