The design, measuring 3inches (7cm)in diameter introduces a beginner to simple stumpwork techniques. It incorporates a bit of stumpwork, with raised, textured stitches and threads. Suitable for a beginner to stumpwork, who has some knowledge of crewel embroidery stitches. With the pincushion, I have used drizzle stitch for one sheep, a slip of French knots appliqued onto the background for the second and a couched woollen thread for the third. Alternatively drizzle stitch can be used for all three sheep. Little wired horns complete the design. A full kit.
