I have used a combination of DMC Petra and Perle in both No.5 and No.8. Perle and Petra are the same but Petra comes in bigger balls making it more economical. The colour range, however, is a lot more limited. The first part of the pattern is not specific instructions but guidelines for planning and creating any size frame and the stem system to fit it. The leaves, flowers, buds and fluffy heads are conventional patterns with plenty of pictures to help explain some of the more difficult bits. The Clematis uses a few different techniques in its creation. These include Thread Painting, short row crochet and loop stitch. All of my patterns are delivered by email in pdf format. As they are delivered in this way, postage is free to anywhere in the world.
