Splashes of watercolour created the 'explosions' and then the pen depicts the details of the flowers ontop. My work has quite a free and expressive style. I have used a mixture of papers and fabrics to create this piece, as well as screen printined images. I have used free hand embroidery to create patterns and applique onto the piece. It is all sewed onto heavyweight canvas and then stretched onto a frame. The piece measures 12 x 12 square and the depth is 1.5.
