<title>Yarn bowl knitting or crochet wool ceramic pottery ceramics handthrown butterfly</title>
<description>This yarn bowl would make a perfect gift for the knitting or crochet enthusiast in your life.
With little butterfliess cut out for the wool to pass through, it will stop the yarn skidding around under the furniture and picking up all that fluff you've been meaning to vacuum out from under the sofa.
I've made several holes so that more than one ball of yarn can be worked at a time.
Also useful for keeping the cat away from the wool!
It could also be used as a plant holder --or just a decorative bowl

The bowl was thrown by me on my pottery wheel using strong white earthenware clay and then carved it out whilst still damp.

The bowl measures 18.5 cm wide and 7 cm high.
I have finished it in a pretty pale peach apricot speckle glaze.
Dishwasher, oven and microwave safe (you never know when you might need to).
Weight 760gms.

Items will be well packed--I definitely don't want any breakages!
I am happy to combine shipping and of course I will post to outside of the UK--contact me for costs.

<description>I am a great convert to wall vases as they are so much harder to knock over than the table variety.

Measures 37cm x 8cm x 6cm.
Fully vitrified--don't worry, there won't be any dribbles of water down the wall!
I have glazed the inside in white but the outside pale green reactive glaze which picks out the textured surface beautifully.

<title>Knitting or crochet wool yarn bowl cup mug ceramics pottery ceramic handthrown </title>
<description>You might fancy having a nice drink of tea from this big cup but be warned--it could get messy!
This yarn bowl (teacup) would make a perfect gift for the knitter in your life.
With little cut out hearts for the wool to pass through, it stops the wool skidding around under the furniture and picking up all the fluff from under the sofa.
Also useful for keeping the cat away from the wool.
Then, when you don't have a knitting project on the go, it be used as a plant holder.
The bowl was thrown by me on my pottery wheel using white earthenware clay and then carved it out whilst still damp.
I've made more than one hole so that you can knit with several balls of wool at once.
Also, just for a bit of fun, I've added a handle to make it look like a giant tea cup.

The bowl measures 17cm across and 11 cm high.
Weight 794gms.
I have finished it in a pretty caramel toffee crystal speckle glaze.
Dishwasher safe (you never know when you might need to).

Items will be well packed-I don't want them to get broken either!
I am happy to combine shipping and of course I will post to outside of the UK--contact me for costs.

Thanks for looking.

<title>French butter dish crock keeper beurrier ceramic pottery ceramics stoneware</title>
<description>This useful crock is designed to keep your butter fresh and soft at room temperature.
The lid has a hollow flange where you should pack the butter in.
This lid is turned upside down while serving butter, but kept in the base when not.
In the bottom pot you should add enough water to form a seal with the butter when the lid is in place.
This design was created before the days of refrigeration to keep butter fresh on the counter for several weeks. Be sure to change your water every few days to ensure the freshness of your butter.
I threw the two pieces on my pottery wheel using strong white stoneware clay and finished it in a dramatic dark purple glaze.

The whole dish when closed measures 13cm across the lid and 10cm high.
The butter chamber is 8cm across by 7.5cm deep. and this one should hold about 200gms of butter.

Dishwasher,oven and microwave safe.
Weight 825gms.

<title>Camembert or brie baker two dishes in one small tagine casserole in stoneware </title>
<description>Perfect for baking Camembert, Brie, Camembert au Calvados to name just a few! Try studding a Camembert with garlic cloves and rosemary sprigs and adding a splash of wine. Bake at 220 degrees for 15 - 20 minutes. Serve warm with fresh bread.
This would also make a good small casserole or vegetable server.

I threw this dish on my pottery wheel using strong white stoneware clay and finished it in a combination of dark chocolate brown and runny green reactive glazes.
Because of the flat top, the lid of the dish makes a separate bowl for maybe serving the bread to go with the cheese.

Dimensions--10cm high when closed and 15cm across.
Weight 868gm.
Oven,dishwasher and microwave safe.

Items will be well packed--I'd hate any to get broken on the way.

<title>French butter dish crock keeper beurrier ceramic pottery ceramics handthrown</title>
I threw the two pieces on my pottery wheel using strong white earthenware clay and finished it in a classy grey blue speckle glaze.

The whole dish when closed measures 13cm across the lid and 10cm high.
The butter chamber is 8cm across by 7.5cm deep. and this one should hold about 200gms of butter.

Dishwasher,oven and microwave safe.
Weight 825gms.

<title>Cheese making mould berry bowl colander ceramic stoneware pottery handthrown</title>
<description>If you've ever fancied having a try at making your own cheeses at home, you will need a mold to strain out the whey and form the shape of the cheese.
This one was handthrown by me using strong white stoneware clay.

One of my strangest commissions was to make a cheese mold for a customer and of course I made some spares.
I just had to give it a try and now I am addicted to making my own soft cheeses.

There is some useful info on getting started at www.cheese4you.co.uk

The mould measures 5cm high and 12.5 cm across.
Weight 355 gms
I have finished it in a lovely light blue with hints of green reactive glaze.

Dishwasher,microwave and oven safe.

Items will be well packed--I don't want any to get broken on the way.

<title>Yarn bowl knitting or crochet wool pot ceramic pottery ceramics handthrown </title>
<description>This yarn bowl would make a perfect gift for the knitting or crochet enthusiast in your life.
With little stars cut out for the wool to pass through, it will stop the yarn skidding around under the furniture and picking up all that fluff you've been meaning to vacuum out from under the sofa.
I've made several holes so that more than one ball of yarn can be worked at a time.
Also useful for keeping the cat away from the wool!
It could also be used as a plant holder.

The bowl was thrown by me on my pottery wheel using strong white earthenware clay and then carved it out whilst still damp.

The bowl measures 15 cm wide and 12.5 cm high.
I have finished it in a pretty mid blue crystal speckle glaze.
Dishwasher, oven and microwave safe (you never know when you might need to).
Weight 752gms.

Items will be well packed--I definitely don't want any breakages!
I am happy to combine shipping and of course I will post to outside of the UK--contact me for costs.

<description>This plate and egg cup set is perfect for your breakfast boiled egg with plenty of room on the side for the soldiers..
A great low calorie easter present--apart from the chocolate egg which is included!!
I threw the egg cup on my pottery wheel using strong white earthenware clay and moulded the plate from a rolled out slab of the same clay.
I have glazed it in a pretty turquoise blue speckle crystal glaze.
Sometimes I make this dish all in one piece, which I think looks attractive, but having them seperate like this is easier for stacking.

The dish measures 23cm across.
The egg cup is normal egg cup size--5 cm high
Dishwasher safe.

Items will be well packed--I certainly don't want them to get broken!

<title>Salt pig or scrubby holder wooden spoon ceramics pottery ceramic handthrown</title>
<description>Keep this cute salt pig next to your hob and you can easily reach in for a dash of rock salt to throw into your cooking.
I threw this salt pig on my pottery wheel using strong white earthenware clay and I've tilted it to one side to make it easier to reach into.
The opening is about the size of the average cook's hand
I've been told some people think it's unhygenic to handle the salt so I've included a nice little acacia wood spoon (sadly not made by me).

Finished in a misty grey crystal glaze with a clear white inside.
Dimensions--12cm x 12cm x 10cm.
Weight. 450gms.
Dishwasher safe.

<title>Wall vase pocket in textured stoneware ceramics pottery ceramic buttons</title>
<description>I am a great convert to wall vases as they are so much harder to knock over than the table variety.
This one was made using a rolled out piece of strong white stoneware clay which I have folded and joined up with faux buttons.
Measures 37cm x 8cm x 6cm.
Fully vitrified--don't worry, there won't be any dribbles of water down the wall!
I have glazed the inside in white but the outside is my very favouite dark aquamarine reactive glaze.
There is a hole for the wall fixing and I've tied a strong waxed cotton loop as well in case your wall nail is too big for the hole.

Items will be well packed-I'd hate any to get broken in the post.

<title>Salt pig or holder wood spoon ceramics pottery ceramic handthrown hob stove cook</title>
<description>Keep this bright little salt pig next to your hob and you can easily reach in for a dash of rock salt to throw into your cooking.

Glazed in a pretty toffee caramel coloured speckle crystal with a clear white glaze inside.
Dimensions--12cm x 12cm x 10cm.
Weight. 450gms.
Oven, microwave and dishwasher safe.

<title>Tea Bowl Matcha Chawan in stoneware with a Chasen whisk and powdered matcha tea</title>
<description>Begin to enjoy the mystique of the traditional Japanese tea ceremony with this set of Chawan, Chasen and some powdered matcha green tea.
This tea bowl was wheelthrown by me using strong white stoneware clay.
I have finished it in a beautifully runny combination of caramel and jade green glazes.

It holds about 250ml of liquid and stands 8cm across and 7cm high.
Weight 295gm.
Could also be used for ice cream or desserts, or as a sugar bowl or dip bowl.
Dishwasher, oven and microwave safe.

I have to buy the whisks (&#163;9!) and tea but I am selling those at cost price. If you would prefer to have the tea bowl only, the price would be &#163;11.99. Let me know and I will change the listing.

It measures 17 high and 9cm across the rim

<title>Spaniel dog water bowl long ears eared ceramic pottery handthrown stoneware</title>
<description>Any dog with long feathered ears can benefit from a spaniel bowl. Unlike traditional dog bowls, spaniel bowls are designed to help keep your dog&#8217;s ears clean and dry by keeping the ears out of the water! Ears that are clean and dry are more manageable and therefore more lovely.
Dry ears will help keep your floor dry too. Probably most important, dry ears will help prevent yeast infections caused from excessive moisture around the ears (something we rarely think about).

This bowl was handthrown by me on my pottery wheel using strong white stoneware clay and finished in a combination of rusty red and runny blue reactive glazes.
No reason why the humans should have all the attractive hand made pottery.
The bowl measure 13cm across the base, 9cm across the top and 8.5cm high.
Weight 600g --heavy enough not to skate across the floor too much.
Holds 550ml.
Dishwasher, microwave and oven safe.

Items will be well packed--I don't want them to get broken either!
I am happy to combine shipping and of course I will post to outside of the UK-contact me for prices.

<title>Bird house feeder nesting box in stoneware weatherproof ceramics pottery ceramic</title>
<description>Hang this bright bird house in a tree in your garden or from a pergola or gazebo and it will really brighten up your garden---your local birds will be the envy of the neighbourhood.
In the winter you can fill it up with seed to feed them and then in the spring they might move in and start a family.
The base of this bird house or feeder was thrown on my pottery wheel using strong white stoneware clay. I then added a roof made from a slab of textured clay and topped it with a strong loop to hang it by.
I've made a hole for a twig to be pushed into to make a doorstep (perch). If it gets broken you can just push a new one in..
The hole is small enough to stop bigger birds (blasted magpies) from getting in.

The house measures 19cm from front to back,15cm wide and 17cm high including the handle.
weight 1.4kgs
I have finished it in my very favourite dark aquamarine reactive glaze..

<title>Coffee mug tea cup left handed hand stoneware handthrown ceramic pottery </title>
<description>I threw this mug on my pottery wheel using strong white stoneware clay.
Because of the way I have cut the handle from the body of the mug, it is particularly comfortable to be held in the left hand.
Of course you can hold it in the right hand as well.
Finished in a combination of reddy brown and blue reactive glazes.
It stands 10cm tall and 10cm wide.
Weight 375gms.
Holds 300mls.

Fully vitrified, it is dishwasher, microwave and oven safe.
Items will be well packed--I'd hate any to get broken!
I am happy to combine shipping and of course I will post to outside of the UK--contact me for costs.

Thankyou for looking.

<description>I threw this vase on my pottery wheel using strong white stoneware clay and finished it in a dark chocolate brown glaze with a contrasting runny blue reactive glaze drizzled over the belly.
It measures 16.5 high and 6.5cm across the rim.
Weight 630gms.
Microwave, oven and dishwasher safe.
This vase is fully vitrified--no leaking water on the table--just thought I'd mention that as I've put dried grasses in it for the photo.

Items will be well packed--as they are all unique, I get very upset if they get broken.

<title>Breakfast egg cup and plate set dish ceramics pottery ceramic easter</title>
<description>This plate and egg cup set is perfect for your breakfast boiled egg with plenty of room on the side for the soldiers..
I threw the egg cup on my pottery wheel using strong white earthenware clay and made the unusual 5 sided plate from a rolled out slab of the same clay.
I have glazed it in a pretty mid blue speckle crystal glaze.
Sometimes I make this dish all in one piece, which I think looks attractive, but having them seperate like this is easier for stacking.
This is pictured with a large egg.

The dish measures 20cm across and 2cm high.
The egg cup is normal egg cup size.
Oven,microwave and dishwasher safe.

Items will be well packed--I certainly don't want them to get broken!
I am happy to combine shipping and of course I will post to outside the UK. Just contact me for postage prices.

I threw this mug on my pottery wheel using strong white stoneware clay, folded it into an attractive organic shape and finished it in a lovely combination of dark chocolate and runny green reactive glazes.
It's incredibly comfortable to hold and to drink from.

Dimensions--12cm high and 12cm across.

<title>Knitting or crochet wool yarn bowl pot ceramics pottery ceramic handthrown star</title>
<description>This yarn bowl would make a perfect gift for the crochet enthusiast in your life.
With little stars carved into the side it will stop the yarn skidding around under the furniture and picking up all that fluff you've been meaning to vacuum out from under the sofa.
I've made several holes so that more than one ball of yarn can be worked at a time.
Also useful for keeping the cat away from the wool!
It could also be used as a plant holder.

The bowl was wheelthrown using strong white earthenware clay and then carved it out whilst still damp.
The bowl measures 17 cm wide and 8.5 cm high.
I have finished it in a lovely dark aquamarine reactive glaze.
Dishwasher, oven and microwave safe (you never know when you might need to).
Weight 752gms.

Items will be well packed--I definitely don't want any breakages!

<title>Bird house feeder nesting box in stoneware weatherproof ceramics pottery ceramic</title>
<description>It's lovely to attract birds into the garden....I've already noticed some flying around mine looking for a new place to live.
Hang this bright bird house in a tree in your garden or from a pergola or gazebo and it will really brighten up your garden---your local birds will be the envy of the neighbourhood.
In the winter you can fill it up with seed to feed them and then in the spring they might move in and start a family.
The base of this bird house or feeder was thrown on my pottery wheel using strong white stoneware clay. I then added a roof made from a rolled out piece of textured clay and topped it with a strong loop to hang it by.
The hole is small enough to stop bigger birds (blasted magpies) from getting in.

The house measures 19cm wide 17cm high including the handle.
weight 1.4kgs
I have finished it in a pretty greeny blue satin reactive glaze.

Dishwasher, microwave and oven safe.( you never know when you might need to).
Fully weatherproof-can be left outside all year round.

Items will be well packed --I don't want any breakages
I am happy to combine shipping and of course I will post to outside the UK--contact me for prices.

This dish would also make a good small casserole or vegetable server.

I threw this dish on my pottery wheel using strong white stoneware clay and finished it in a pretty bluey greeny reactive glaze.
Dimensions--4.5cm high and 17cm across.

<title>Olive serving dish bowl party ceramic pottery ceramics handthrown stoneware</title>
<description>What could be better for any party than a dish of lovely plump olives to pass around.
This olive bowl was thrown by me on my pottery wheel using strong white stoneware clay.
And as nobody ever knows what to do with the stones, I have put a little compartment here to store them neatly.

The dish measures 14cm wide and 5cm deep.
Weight 430gms.
It is finished in a cream satin finish glaze with a bronze metallic drizzled over the rim.
Oven, microwave and dishwasher safe.

Items will be well packed--I'd hate any of them to get broken on the way.
I am happy to combine shipping and of course I will post to outside of the UK--contact me for prices

Thanks for looking.

<description>I made this butter or cheese dish from a rolled out piece of strong white stoneware clay, to which I have added a leafy texture.

The plate measures 21cm x 17.5cm and the lid measures 18cm x 13cm x 8cm high including the handle.
Weight 1100gms.
I have finished it in my very favourite dark aquamarine reactive glaze which nicely picks out the texture.
Oven,dishwasher and microwave safe.

The bowl was thrown by me on my pottery wheel using strong white earthenware clay and the holes made whilst still damp.
I've finished it in a pretty pale green speckle glaze.
The bowl measures 19 cm across and 8.5 cm high.

<title>Yarn bowl knitting or crochet wool ceramic pottery ceramics handthrown hearts</title>
<description>This yarn bowl would make a perfect gift for the knitting or crochet enthusiast in your life.
With little hearts cut out for the wool to pass through, it will stop the yarn skidding around under the furniture and picking up all that fluff you've been meaning to vacuum out from under the sofa.
I've also made a slot so that you can remove the work without having to break off the yarn.
Also useful for keeping the cat away from the wool!
It could also be used as a plant holder.

The bowl was thrown by me on my pottery wheel using strong white earthenware clay and then carved it out whilst still damp.

The bowl measures 16 cm wide and 12 cm high.
I have finished it in a coffee cappucino crystal speckle glaze.
Dishwasher, oven and microwave safe (you never know when you might need to).
Weight 750gms.

Items will be well packed--I definitely don't want any breakages!
I am happy to combine shipping and of course I will post to outside of the UK--contact me for costs.

<description>I've been making these especially for left-handers for so long. And yet I've only just realised they can work just as well the other way!.
I threw this mug on my pottery wheel using strong white stoneware clay.
Because of the way I have cut the handle from the body of the mug, it is particularly comfortable to be held in the right hand.
Of course you can hold it in the left hand as well.
Finished in a combination of dark chocolate and runny green reactive glazes.
It stands 10cm tall and 10cm wide.

<title>Salt pig or scrubby holder stoneware handthrown with an acacia wood teaspoon </title>
<description>Keep this bright little salt pig next to your hob and you can easily reach in for a dash of rock salt to throw into your cooking.
I threw this salt pig on my pottery wheel using strong white stoneware clay and I've tilted it to one side to make it easier to reach into.
The opening is about the size of the average cook's hand
I've been told some people think it's unhygenic to handle the salt so I've included a nice little acacia wood teaspoon (sadly not made by me).

Finished in a lovely satin finish blue reactive glaze.
Dimensions--11cm x 11cm x 12cm.
Weight. 450gms.
Oven, microwave and dishwasher safe.

<title>Large noodle bowls handthrown in stoneware pottery ceramic chopsticks</title>
<description>These large noodle bowls were thrown on my pottery wheel using strong white stoneware clay.
While the clay was still damp I cut out little holes to hold the chopsticks.
They would be perfect for your oriental meals--particularly those big bowls of soup noodles Wagamama style.
The bowls measure 18.5cm across and 11.5cm high.
Weight 780g each --will actually hold more than a litre of fluid--for big appetites!
I have finished them in a great combination of dark chocolate brown and runny green reactive glazes.

Of course, as with all hand made items, they are not absolutely identical, but they do make a very good pair.
I've included two pairs of nice dark bamboo chopsticks.
Dishwasher,microwave and oven safe.

Items will be well packed--I don't want them to get broken either!
I am happy to combine shipping and of course I will post to outside of the UK-contact me for prices.

<title>French butter dish crock keeper beurrier ceramic pottery ceramics handthrown</title>
I threw the two pieces on my pottery wheel using strong white earthenware clay and finished it in a pretty pale green speckle glaze.

This is quite a large one--the whole dish when closed measures 13.5cm across the lid and 10.5cm high.
The butter chamber is 8.5cm across by 7.5cm deep. and this one should hold about 250gms of butter.
Dishwasher,oven and microwave safe.
Weight 825gms.

Items will be well packed--I'd hate any of them to get broken!
I am happy to combine shiiping and of course I will post to outside of the UK-contact me for costs.
