A light, graceful and unique decoration for your wall or your door. The delicate paper flowers are handmade and have pearls and pale diamante stones in earth tones, which tone with the neutral colours of the wreath. This particular wreath is made from pages from unwanted romance novels and Dracula! The back is finished with card, with a large loop of neutral jute twine so you can easily hang the wreath on wall or door. The paper is coated with a matt sealant, so it is moisture resistant. However, it would not survive a soaking. Each piece of paper is fixed to the base frame carefully, to create a A feather-type duster would be best for this piece as this would remove dust from the crannies but also be gentle on the tips of the paper, which are the most fragile part. I chose the images carefully for their compositions, colour and classic comic book dialogue . These objects are bright and playful. They look great hung together in a group from the ceiling. They are very light and will move and twirl in the breeze or wafts of warm air from your lamp. Each ornament is approximately 6in x 6in (15cm x 15cm). Each one is stapled together with coloured aluminium staples and had a brass eyelet for easy hanging. This would make a lovely gift for mum, book lovers of all ages. It could also be worn as a wedding corsage! The brooch is finished on the back with a closable pin back. To protect it from the elements, I've coated the paper in a clear sealant that also makes the paper stronger and resistant to tearing. The brooch is 7cm in diameter.
