I bought these beads as andalucite, but further investigation reveals that they are really chiastolite - named from the Greek for 'cross' - but whatever they are, they are really are different. Then each stone has the characteristic cross marking on it. These earrings have been created from the two best matching stones, but as with everything in nature, there are no true pairs.
