Dear Kittykay - I make each stencil out of a piece of good quality, 100gsm photocopy paper. This is thin enough to be able to fold in 4 and then cut my design out through all 4 layers. It is strong enough, though, that the ink doesn't seep straight through it on first run! With my first print run I only do maybe 10 sheets, then gently peel the paper off and hang it up to dry. After each printing, the paper has another layer of acrylic on, so in fact it tends to get stronger. The only times I've had to replace stencils has been with intricate designs which have clogged with ink. Hope this is of help and please don't hesitate to get in touch if and when you start printing and if you have any other queries...

Lovely, simple and effective method. What do you make your stencils out of and how long do they last?
