Sweet little full Ammonite Fossil Specimen, set on a substabtial silver bail.

This pretty little fossil is smoothed & lightly polished, giving the fossil glimpses of greeny golden lustre when moved and displaying in detail the natural ridge configuration.

I have simply drilled the fossil centrally & I have set it with a substantial silver bail, (which is sterling silver, but not marked as such) to really set this piece off. The fossil does pivet slightly on this centrally placed bail, making it a very tactile piece of jewellery.

Sorry there is no chain with this pendant, but it would look great on a simple trace chain. or perhaps a leather or silk cord.

The ammonite fossil itself measures approx 1.9cms by 2cms, measurements taken at the widest points, with a depth, again at the widest point of approx 4mms.

This fossil was found during a fossil hunting trip in the Lyme Regis / Charmouth area & was very carefully & slowly drilled to make it usable for jewelley purposes.

This little fossil specimen was so pretty yet robust, I felt it too small for a keyring, but that it would make a great pendant! It brings the Jurassic period right to the present day, 180 million years of history! Ideal for either a lady or a gent!
