Lovely highly polished Orthoceras Fossil Kerying / Handbag Charm.
Description
Lovely little highly polished Orthoceras teardrop shaped fossil, simply drilled at the top and teamed up with silvertone round bail, chain and loop clip
keyring ring.
This fossil specimen is from the Devonian period and is around 395-345 million years old!
The Orthoceras pencil fossil shows a full length specimen to the front and mottled grey matrix to the back. The approximate measurements are that the Orthoceras fossil specimen itself, (excluding the key chain and keyring findings,) is approx 4cms in length, approx 2.5cms in width, with a depth of approx 7mms, all measurements taken from its widest points.
I personally have many Orthoceras fossil items of jewellery, which I wear and love and wondered if one such item would make a lovely keyring item. As the main colours are deep grey and silver grey, I felt that silvertone findings would be most suitable.
The specimen has been highly polished so a very tactile item and would make a wonderful gift as either a keyring or as a handbag charm.
