Meet Pip - he's a little circus dog, eager to perform his circus tricks for you...

...inspired by vintage circus posters, Pip is a miniature version of my fox terrier, dressed for the circus in a blue polkadot hat and matching ruff. He is made from Osnaburg and stands 15cm tall from his paws to the tip of his hat.

His little cart is made from papier-mache, painted barn red and adorned with images and text from vintage circus posters. I've mounted it on old wooden cotton reels that I bought years ago in America. It is finished with a rusty bell on the wagon and a large bell on the end of the 'pull-along' rope. Pip is completely removable, so his cart could be used at Christmas to hold lots of yummy sweeties!

The whole ensemble measures about 19cm tall and 13 cm long when Pip is in his cart - so perfect for a shelf, windowsill or on a mantlepiece.

Pip and his cart are my own design. Pip was stitched on my old Singer treadle sewing machine. As with all my creations, Pip and his cart are intended as collectors items and are not intended for children.
