A new leaded stained glass panel of a cat with a stainless steel frame and legs, designed to be placed in the garden. Looks great at the front of a border or in a more exposed position.

The cat is created using yellow irridescent glass. The background is in pale blue and dark green textured cathedral glass. It looks different according to which side you are viewing and the angle being viewed at and the light conditions. Just choose which side you prefer, both are finished to the same standard.

It adds colour and interest to the garden in all seasons. Put a solar light behind it and you will see it in the dark.

Made with traditional leaded stained glass techniques, it is weather proof, just like church windows. The glass contains swirls, ridges and small bubbles, making every panel unique.

The panel excluding the legs is 32.8cm tall and 18.8cm wide. The legs without the extensions are 2.5cm long and with the slide on extensions, they measure 17.8cm.

In these days of sealed double glazing units it is difficult to incorporate handmade stained glass into modern doors and windows. It can be encapsulated but apparently this compromises the seals.

An alternative to bring the colour and texture of handmade stained glass into your home is to buy sun-catchers to hang on the inside of you windows. There is a vast array of these available. The draw back is that they can obscure the views out of your window and get in the way of curtains and blinds.

I have come up with the idea of making stained glass panels using traditional leaded stained glass techniques that can be placed anywhere in the garden. Having made some prototypes and presents for my family, I'm now making them for sale.

They will add colour and interest to any garden in all seasons. An extremely stylised cat with a spiky character.
