Item details

This latticed dish can be used as a fruit bowl or as a centrepiece.

Its texture is remindful of woven fabric, which makes for a very charming piece.

The vibrant colour appears in different shades where each piece of glass waves its way across the others, yet it's made with just one shade of green. It's the texture that creates the different nuances.

It measures 25 x 25 cm and it's about 5 cm deep.

This piece is all about texture and depth.

The glass moves in such an interesting way when it is fused at low temperatures (well, lower than usual, but still around the 700 C mark!!). It crosses and fuses, but keeps its shape in a way that resembles woven fabrics.

For this piece, like for so many of my collection, I play with transparency and vibrant colours to create an effect. This is amplified by the many shades of green obtained with the lattice design.

A very tactile piece thanks to the process it went through in the kiln.
