A used, real, up-cycled horseshoe with a new, hand made stained glass Cat in the middle. Perfect for mounting in the garden on a wall, fence or trellis. Ideally where it catches the sun to make the most of the iridescent and textured glass.

A leather thong is attached for hanging. Two new horseshoe nails will be included. It will be delivered in a new white cardboard box.

Having cleaned all the muck and rust off the horseshoe, it seemed a shame to paint it and cover the rustic beauty of the signs of wear and tear in its previous life. It is treated with Renaissance wax, which is used by museums to protect metal objects.

The stained glass middle has been made with traditional, leaded stained glass materials and techniques. It cannot be removed from the horseshoe since the outer lead fits round the inner edge of the horseshoe. The glass is textured and iridised on the front and contains bubbles and ridges, making every element unique.
