This item is hand made from salt dough & baked in the oven at a very low temp for about 2 hours until hard. The ring is egg-washed to glaze it and has a sprinkle of poppy seeds. The holly leaves & berries were left un-glazed & are hand painted and varnished. There is a small hanging loop on the back to add a ribbon. You may choose any of the ribbons shown, please advise at time of purchase. Item is approx 4-4.5" in diameter, thought this may vary slightly.

PLEASE NOTE! item should be kept in a dry room as damp conditions will cause it to deteriorate over time.

I first made salt dough about 18 years ago after seeing one of those 'Field Mouse on Barley Storks' on the wall at my mums. Very often I see things I like & will attempt to make it myself, it's something I've done since childhood! So I got a book & had a go! I have made all manner of salt dough items, baskets of fruit, wreaths, plaques, hanging signs, Xmas decs, all sorts. I made these for Christmas, but can also make fruit wreaths, cherry wreaths, anything you like. Kept in the right place, these last for years. Thanks for looking :)
