This wedding dress is unique. The bodice is fitted, lightly boned & underwired. The flowing skirt is made up of layers of fabric pieces & decorative lace trimmings from Istanbul. The satin bodice is decorated with shimmering printed images which are overlaid with lace & decoratively stitched with metallic thread. There are removable, adjustable bra type straps for comfort.The back displays a purple ribbon and short gathered train which fastens neatly with press poppers. Hints of colour: pink & purple peek through the layers of white lace. Some fabrics are hand dyed.
The dress is intricately & decoratively stitched together. The bodice is lined with soft cotton & has hooks and eyes in back. There is a full skirt with invisible zip which follows the flattering waistline. The skirt consists of many layers of decorative fabrics.
My garments are completely unique and take many months to create. They are wearable works of art.

Although the majority of the fabrics have been edged, some edges have been left adding to the dramatic, shabby chic nature and flowing effect of the garment.
Due to the wide range of fabrics in this garment, this garment will require dry cleaning.
Size 14 - 16 There are 2 sets of hooks & eyes on the bodice allowing approximately 3cm adjustment. I always wanted to make a wedding dress and have been building up to it with the last few dresses I have made. They have become more and more ornate and flowing. I visited Turkey in August and brought back to the UK lots of white embroidered lace and fabrics. When I got the fabric home and placed it in my studio, I knew it was time!!! I printed the bodice at a Shelly Goldsmith workshop in March 2014 but did not have any ideas of what to do with it....... until now!!
