I initially designed this vase for my own relationship. When I got married, I was looking for a way to be able to save feelings, cherished memories and love testimonials throughout my relationship. I just did not want to forget the way I was feeling about my husband. All the love we felt for each other. Meanwhile I saw and heard of so many couples get divorced or separate. I came upon the idea of a vase that would symbolise all of this when we were on a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostella as part of our honeymoon. If for some reason my husband and I ever go through a rough patch in our relationship, we will break our vase and be reminded of all the love we feel for each other and this act will hopefully save our relationship.
