Have a loved one's handwriting or signature made in to a special personalized sterling silver necklace.

CHRISTMAS 2014 I am now taking orders for this Christmas. Please do not leave it until last minute, as I hand make each piece it is a slow process and simply cannot be rushed. Either message me on here or send an email to hello (at) madebydaisy.co.uk. Thank you!

These necklaces are a lovely keepsake, and can be a great reminder of those who we can't always be with.

I cut the words out of sterling silver sheet by hand, using a jeweller's saw. The piece is then hand finished using various files, sanding and lots of polishing! You can choose between a matte finish or high polish, and a 16 or 18" chain. Your necklace will come in a gift box.

Don't worry if the writing that you want to use isn't joined up, I can simply move the letters so that they touch. This doesn't alter the appearance too much.

I can also make your necklace in other special metals, or different chains. Please contact me for a quote.

The idea of using someone special's handwriting to create jewellery actually came from a customer of mine. His 3 year old son wrote "mama" on a bit of paper, which he scanned in and requested it made into a necklace for his wife. I loved the idea and have been creating these special necklaces for people ever since.

These necklaces are a lovely keepsake, and a great reminder of those who we can't always be with. I have had people order these as a special piece to give to their bride on their wedding day, and also in children's handwriting so that mum could always remember her children's handwriting from when they were very small. I have also made various pieces as memorial necklaces, using the handwriting of a lost loved one. Often people have old birthday cards or perhaps a note from someone that they have loved and lost, and use the text to make a personally tailored necklace.
