Item details

White sea glass earrings with decorative silver plated bails attached to silver plated ear wires. Approximate drop from bottom of ear wire to bottom of stone is 1.5 inches (3.5 cm). Item comes in a gold organza gift bag. Due to sea glass being a natural resource there may be some slight imperfections which adds to the character and makes each piece unique.

During the 1800’s until 1921 Seaham was renowned for its glass and bottleworks. At the end of the day a variety of coloured glass was collected from the furnaces and thrown into the sea. The glass has remained in the sea for approximately 100 years and during this time has been weathered and shaped by the tides resulting in the fabulous pieces and rare multi-coloured glass that we find today.
