In the beautiful Yorkshire Dales where I live there are LOTS of sheep. Well there are some that have decided that the grass IS greener on the other side of the drystone wall and have decided to emigrate. Thus far they have made it to 11 different countries around the world, some even write to me to let me know they are ok. Which is nice.
The Woolies are made from acrylic plush, with safety eyes and polyester filling, with polar fleece arms, legs and ears. Each wears their own crochet bobble hat and matching scarf to protect them from the great British weather.
If the colour you would like your Woolie is not on the list, don't worry, most requests can be met. Just let me know. Also if you are not bothered what colour his garments are I will let them choose their own favourite. However if you want your Woolie to wear a particular colour, Team or school colour let me know.

Living in the Yorkshire Dales I am surrounded by rolling hills, lush valleys, tumbling streams and rivers and lots and lots of SHEEP.
Even the little ancient market town I live in is named Skipton, which means SHEEP TOWN.
So designing and making my flock was sort of inevitable.
One day sitting watching the sheep in the field at the bottom of my garden I got to wondering, as you do.
I wondered if they ever felt like jumping on one of the narrow boats meandering by on the waterway at the far side of their field? Maybe they were planning to dress up as old ladies and smuggle themselves onto one of the tourist coaches that visit the town? By the time I had finished my cup of tea I had a whole scenario mapped out for them. It was like The Great Escape! So I decided to help them. I make them hats and scarves so they know that we love them really, and send them on their way.
Now they are in Germany, Holland, Japan and others. Even Australia as if they need any more sheep!
