This little clothespin doll ornament is handpainted and is wearing a tiny hand-sewn red floral dress with red seed beads down the front of the bodice - now made with long sleeves. She has a lacy knit bolero on top.

This figure has brown hair but all the peg dolls are made to order so if you would like to send a photo I can paint hair in any short hairstyle and any hair colour you wish.

Underneath, the doll has painted frilly undies and she's wearing a jolly pair of painted shiny pink spotted wellies. She is standing on a plain birch wood circle and carrying a teeny tiny bottle of champagne - what a treat! (although it is made of wood).

Beautifully detailed, carefully finished and wonderfully cute, these peg dolls make unique presents and unusual cake toppers. A tiny label with a number can be added to the champagne bottle if you wish.

This peg doll is made to order and sent out in 1-3 weeks depending on parts stock (ready painted pegs and tiny dresses) in the workshop. If you need your figure in a hurry, please convo me. The peg dolls are made from solid birch wood, individually hand painted with water-based acrylic paints. Both matt and gloss water-based varnishes are used to protect the paint.

Mixed media and folk art hand painted and sewn in my Staffordshire workshop. You might find garlands of wooden hearts and fabric, rag wreaths, hand painted signs and handmade decorations as well as lots of very small people.

Many designs are inspired by children’s illustration, nature and things made miniature, and my inability to lose a child-like hope that communities of tiny creatures might exist in the undergrowth in the garden.

Each Little Brown Dog Workshop peg doll is made with great care and goes through multiple stages of sanding, painting, varnishing and decorating and finally dressing. Making them takes many days, during which time the workshop is festooned with little pegs, tiny dresses and miniscule wooden embellishments, all at various stages in the process.
