I love the sea, the sunlight bouncing off the water creates fantastic patterns, I wanted to create knitted wave like patterns.

I have used 2 very fine strands of cotton and wool - both pale blues but one a lot lighter than the other to create a shimmering effect. This scarf is knitted by stretching sections of stitches forming gaps of missed stitches in between.

When worn the missed stitches float adding to the movement of the pattern.

The scarf is long and wide and can be worn over your shoulders as a shawl or wrapped and wrapped around your neck on a summer evening.
