A set of 4 handmade container candles includes 'Orange Marmalade', Strawberry Jam', 'Lemon Curd' and 'Vanilla Cream'.
Reusing the small 30g individual jampots, that are either thrown away or recycled by restaurants and cafes, to make container candles.
These candles are handmade using Ecosoy wax which burns cleaner and for longer than paraffin wax and spills can be cleaned up using soap and water.
Each candle burns for over 4 hours.

After visiting various cafes and B&Bs that provided mini jam jars with breakfasts/teas, I wondered what happened to them. After asking around I found that most were put into recycling and some were just thrown away. I finally found a cafe that was willing to save them for me - Cameron's Restaurant at Birkacre Garden Centre, Chorley. I collect them every week and turn them into Jampot Candles using Ecosoy wax and scents that echo flavours in preserves. The Ecosoy wax can be washed off using soap and water and therefore when the candle has finished the jars can be washed out and used again. They are handy for storing small items.
