I had taken several photographs in my own garden of flowers that grabbed my attention in their subtle, yet mesmerising ways. With my continuing interest and love of blue I wanted to translate the photograph into a painting using blue tones in order to capture and emphasise the precious nature of the flower...in all it's wonder.
