HARRIS TWEED CAFETIERE BLANKET

An exclusive design handmade by The Little Stitch Company

Keep your freshly brewed coffee piping hot with this stylish Harris Tweed Cafetiere Blanket.

The blanket fits a standard 8 cup cafetiere (12" circumference). It's designed to fully cover the jug for optimum heat retention. The blanket features a front notch for the spout and fastens securely and easily with three wooden buttons and elastic loops. The blanket is backed with a heavy duty cotton fabric and includes additional layers of padding for added insulation. Each blanket carries an Orb certification label which is your guarantee that the blanket is made from genuine Harris Tweed fabric.

The Cafetiere Blanket measures approx. 33cm (13") by 18cm (7").

I buy all my fabric directly from the weavers on Harris. Here is a little bit more about this wonderful fabric.

"Harris Tweed is made from 100% virgin wool, dyed, spun and hand-woven by the islanders at their own homes and finished in the Outer Hebrides."

One of the most desirable wool textiles in the world Harris Tweed is the only fabric protected by an Act of Parliament. Only the skilled craftsmen and women of the Outer Hebrides of Scotland know how to make it and, by law, only they are allowed to do so. Taking their inspiration from the surrounding landscapes and seascapes they create a wonderful range of colours and patterns that are perfectly suited to both traditional and modern uses.

All Harris Tweed cloth is approved by the Harris Tweed Authority inspectors and stamped with the famous Orb mark. The Orb mark is the mark of authenticity and the woven label issued with the cloth to customers confirms it.
