This beautiful box is made from solid meranti and iroko wood. my construction technique means the drawers are made from the same piece of wood used to make the box.

I love combining different species of wood to see how their contrasts complement each other. I was very pleased with how this one turned out.

i wanted to make a longer box this time that would look nice on a window ledge or a dressing table.

I even took the time to turn the draw pulls using pieces of meranti that might have been discarded
