Pretty Polly!
A quirky Parrot Hobby Horse with a soft hand felted head made from red, cerise and green Merino wool and long yellow beak. He comes complete with a handful of felt feathers and fringe of green and red silk plaits, with kind, needle felted eyes and a strong bridle made from plaited brown leather.

I made this Parrot from scratch using natural Merino wool. I used wet felting and needle felting techniques, with machine and hand stitching to create the finished bird which is filled with synthetic stuffing and firmly attached to the stick with a little strong glue. I used batik techniques to decorate the wooden stick, which I dyed light green and gave a polished wax finish and a felt pad on the base.

The Parrot is 1 metre tall and is completely individual. He can go anywhere, needing only your imagination to make him come alive, but he does not like to get wet, so spot clean only please.

This handsome parrot is completely safe for children, but parental supervision is advised for those under 3 years.
He will also, beautifully complement the room of any teenager or adult who is still a child at heart! ( A must for grandparents to keep at their house.)

All my work is made to a high standard, with care and love and signed on the stick and on the head. Each Hobby Horse is unique and comes with it's own individual 'passport' stating provenance.
