This tree-shaped garden ornament has been hand-crafted from a single sheet of copper - cut out with a specialist piercing saw and hammered into shape. It measures 61cm (24") tall, and 24cm (9.5") at the furthest reach of its branches.

This sculpture would look gorgeous as an ornament for your garden, complimenting the plants around it. Over time the copper will weather, changing in colour and developing an attractive verdigris look.

The warm dark colouration on the metal is a pleasing side-effect of the annealing (heating with a blowtorch) process which makes the copper malleable. As a maker, I find that copper is my favourite material to work with for this reason - the gorgeous colours produced when it is annealed and how soft and easy to work with it becomes.
