Item details

This handbuilt figure of an old man, is pushing his belongings in a shopping trolley!
He is made with stoneware clay, standing approx 9.5" tall!
The man is wearing a tatty old coat & a wooly scarf.
I used a speckled brown glaze for the figure, with other colours to define the detail.
The items in the trolley are all loose & can be moved around indiividually!
He could be a secret milllionaire of course, but he looks sad & lonely to me!

The figure is standing on a base that depicts the gravelly earth.
(He is not attached to the base, but I could glue him, if you prefer)

I wanted to capture the feeling of the old man, wearing shabby clothes, as he pushed his belongings along in a shopping trolley.
He could be a secret millionaire of course, but he just seems sad & a bit lonely to me!
