These candle holders were first made when I started working with some brick clay from the local brickworks which then already had pre made holes in them. However the clay I now get doesn't have the holes in but I still wanted to make the candle holders, so I made my own holes for the candles and I think they look great. This holder has my sketches on by a transfer and some white acrylic paint. Very unique.

My inspiration for making the candle holders was firstly the clay itself I love its colour and the contrast with the candles and the sketches of the flowers from the garden all very natural. They all sit along side each other beautifully.
