This card is not only a welcome addition to the mantle piece but it can be worn afterwards - a card and present in one!

The brooch is formed using polymer clay which is then painted and varnished. It is then finished using thread and glass beads and a brooch clasp attached to the back before being mounted onto recycled card. The card is then placed in a protective sleeve along with a cardboard envelope and sealed.

This is a completely unique item and no two are the same. The brooch measures approximately 6x4cms. I have sincerely enjoyed making these brooch cards which I hope shows!

Why should kids have all the fun? I've always bought birthday cards with badges on but there comes a time when you don't need to display your age... and the situation might call for something less graphic in style.

To this end I thought how nice it would be for someone to wear a little something a friend has chosen for their special day. These brooches are completely unique and no two will ever be the same. The brooches themselves are designed on play on light, predominantly reds and golds highly varnished and look great when worn with darker colours.
