Item details

At the beginning of 2013 Oak & Iron Furniture found a source of beautiful green oak in Surrey near to our workshop. All of the green oak we could get was either French or British and was incredibly featured and tactile.
The nature of green oak means that it's more difficult to join or fix green oak together because green oak can shrink, shift and split. The material was so amazing, however, that we decided to find a way to make a base for the oak beams, and when we realised that we could use iron as a base, using 100mm square box sections for legs, then we could powder coat these, we went ahead with the vision and started to create Oak & Iron.
There are actually many colours available for the bases of Oak & Iron Furniture, but we can only offer a few alternatives on this site.
