These 1960s British romance novel covers have a compelling design and wonderful titles. This particular cover was sourced from a second-hand bookshop in Berkshire. The art is rather beautiful, and the title is the mysterious and slightly alarming: "Dark Encounter". The young woman looks out at us from the cover with confidence, and a challenge in her eyes.

Each wallet is created using my special construction technique, using layers of vinyl, book cover and fabric. The lining is a black slub cotton, to contrast with the burnt-orange cover. The book cover is coated with vinyl to protect it.
