This delicate necklace features clusters of freshwater nugget pearls and carnelian 4mm rounds. Glass spacer beads in delicate shades of gold and amber are used to complement the gemstone, and the clasp is gold plated. The necklace measures approx 41.5 cm (16 inches).

Freshwater pearl is a gemstone in its own right, and its character is beauty and purity. It is believed to attract love. These are cultured freshwater pearls in their natural ivory colour, and with the irregularity in shape a natural nugget pearl should have. Carnelian gives us warmth and is said to help us embrace change and transformation, enhancing our vital energy. It has been a treasured gemstone throughout history, especially in Roman times.

The necklace will come in its own little bag.

I wanted to cluster the freshwater pearls and add both delicacy and warmth to the piece, so I chose the tiny carnelian gemstones. The necklace is light and feminine, with a vintage feel - the clusters are not heavy. I love the contrast between the pearl nuggets and the perfectly regular carnelian rounds.
