East Cliff Hall – Signed original linocut print edition of 50 - contemporary fine art
Printed onto somerset cartridge (130gsm) with oil based inks.

This is an original three block linocut print, one of an edition of 50 prints. I've used transparent inks to create this print, which enabled me to make use of the overlap between blocks to create additional colours. This print is signed, titled and editioned along the bottom in pencil. 50 of these prints were made, you may not receive the exact print used in the photos.

The tradition of linocut is a relief printing method in which pieces of lino are cut away using special carving tools to create a design. The lino block is then inked up using a roller, and printed onto paper either by hand or using a traditional printing press. It's an entirely manual process, so some slight differences in the prints are to be expected. Each of these prints is the result of three separate blocks being carefully carved and printed, each new colour after the previous layer has had several days to dry.

This print is a perfect fit for a 40 x 50cm frame when mounted.
