Birds of a Feather Wall Art Ceramic Wall Art for Living Kitchen and Bathroom
Description
These two pottery birds belong together... I pressed vintage lace into their surfaces to create pretty patterns and texture, so they'll make a stylish addition to your wall.
They are made from tough stoneware ceramic, and are waterproof and easy to clean, so they are great as wall art for kitchens and bathrooms as well as elsewhere in your home.
Each pottery bird is unique. Their features were individually imprinted and their shapes were cut by hand, by me. They are made from strong textured creamy clay and fired to stoneware temperature, so they are strong, despite their delicate forms. Their intricate features are emphasized by the classic English heritage blue glaze - Wedgwood blue.
At the back they are ready to hang and have a fitting that will easily slot over a picture hook, pin or nail.
Each measures approx 4 x 4 inches (10 x 10cm)
Please note, I made a couple of sets of these ceramic birds. Yours may vary slightly in terms of the exact position of the lace, but they will be very similar to those pictured in the main image. Please allow for slight variation due to the handmade nature of this piece.
Inspiration
I made these ceramic birds as wall art that can be used anywhere in the home, including bathrooms and kitchens as well as elsewhere in the home, because they are waterproof. They have the imprint of classic vintage lace crochet in the surface and are finished in Wedgwood blue glaze.
