This piece, made out of ash and follows my favourite autumn colour scheme. Measuring 200mm x 55mm{8ins x 2 1/4ins} the piece was first carved using an angle grinder followed by wire brushing to achieve added texture.
Green, yellow, red and orange spirit stain was applied to the outer surface whilst the inner bowl which has been left smooth is coloured with a mix of light green and gold acrylic paint.
The whole piece has been finished with several coats of shellac sealer and beeswax, and has been signed and dated using English and runic lettering.
