PinCushion - Handmade - Hand Printed - Wool - Devon -Rare Breed

A Pin Cushion made from beautiful woolen fabric and stuffed with fleece from a Black Balwen rare breed sheep all from Devon on the slopes of Dartmoor. Also containing a good pinch of lavender again from Devon.
Cushion is trimmed with handprinted leaves.
Size - approx 3 x 3 inches (7.5 x 7.5 cms)
Inspiration
Sheep fleece was the traditional stuffing for pin cushions. The natural lanolin in the fleece preserves the needles and pins. (The fleece has been gently washed.)
The leaf prints I printed with leaves from my garden. The cushion has some decorative stitching too and is edged with wire wrapped with wool.
The cushion comes with a descriptive label making this a lovely gift for a needleworker.
The photos show similar cushions - listed separately - each one is unique and no 2 can be exactly the same.
