Babies soft Blankee to cuddle and touch
Description
This blankee would make an ideal and unique gift for a christening, christmas, birthday or even...'just because' gift for a baby, or a young child.
The blankee is made from cotton and minkee with different coloured tags sewn around the edge to add interest and textures for your baby to touch and feel. All the tags have been machine stitched at least twice to make sure they are secure.
One side of the blankee is made from cotton fabric in a plain bright orange and a beautiful orange and yellow owl print on a white background. The other side is made from a gorgeous brown minkee cotton fabric with a raised dot print in it. I have stitched the word LOVE on one of the orange squares and the other three have circles stitched onto them.
I have attached a green plastic play ring to one of the tags so that you can clip the blankee to the side of the buggy, the harness on the car seat or buggies and other such things. It should ensure a much better chance of the child not being able to launch it over the side when you're not watching and then it is gone and lost forever :-( This plastic play ring can be un hooked at anytime and will need to be removed for washing.
The blankee is fully machine washable on a cool wash but I would recommend using a couple of colour catchers in the wash cycle for the first couple of washes.
This blanket measures approximately 13.5 x 13.5 inches (35 x 35cm) not including the tags.
All my items are made in a smoke and pet free home.
Inspiration
When my children were little they all had soft toys that they carried about everywhere with them. They slept with them, took them to friends houses, playgroup and even sometimes sat them on the edge of the bath and chatted to them whilst in the bath themselves! I however, had a huge big teddy that I would have liked to have taken everywhere with me...but couldn't because of his size. So I would grab a bit of my blanket, duvet cover, shirt or whatever else I could reach and twist a small piece of the material round and round until I could get a small enough piece to grab between my fingers. Then I would rub the small piece of soft material over my lip whilst I fell to sleep. I decided that a small blankee with tags on would be small enough to put in a parents bag, light enough to be dragged everywhere that it had to go and the tags would ensure that comforter feeling that I remember so well as I drifted off.
