'Blanc-mange a la Vanille' Hand Printed Marble Coasters
Description
A Set of Four Hand Painted Marble Tiles which have been printed with the Artists illustration of sumptious images including French Desserts and English Strawberries.
The tiles are painted with a base colour and then printed using a transfer technique. The edges are painted gold to compliment the texture and colours of the design and lumps and bumps of the coaster.They are backed with felt to protect your furniture and coated with layers of varnish to protect from your Afternoon tea. They measure 10cmx10cm.
Available with wall mounting hooks at small extra cost. Please contact me to specify custom order.
Inspiration
I bought these Vintage Chocolate Trading cards from Paris via a dealer in America. I fell in love with the decorative Fonts and have used them over and over in my artwork. In this tile quartet I have layered the French text with images of fanciful desserts and treats, throwing in a trio of spoons for good measure.
