These little shoes are a modern take on the traditional baby shoe or bootie
.
Made from a fine weave cotton poplin with a voile outer layer and a white & lilac embroidered motif. Perfect for the warmer weather, lightweight and not too warm, but will prevent the babies feet getting cold on the cooler days.

It has a light elastic in the heel section to help keep them on little feet.

Light enough to be used as an indoor slipper, and pretty enough to be a finishing item for that special event outfit such as christening or wedding.
Made in such a way that they are reversable, (with a fully white inner) so should a little mishap or spill happen, they can be reversed. Enabling baby to look as good as new without much fuss.

I have 2 pairs of these in this design only.
This size is suitable for a baby of approximately 6-9 months. The shoe length is around 12cm long, which equates to approximately a size 3 baby shoe so a foot of shorter than this is suitable. If you rare unsure please measure your childs feet to see if they're suitable or measure an existing shoe/bootee.

Having young nephews, neices, and friends with babies, I love making little items and find it relaxing. I especially enjoy making them modern or with a twist!
For these I stuck to traditional white but chose to add some detail and make them in a simple style enabling mum to match to many outfits.

I also liked the idea of adjusting the pattern to make them reversable. We all know how easy white is to dirty. Reversable shoes are a good way of ensuring baby can look its best without having to bring along numerous clothing spares! Perfect for those special events with lots of pictures!
