Scoobie pen
Description
Hand knotted scoobie pen with crazy spirals.
Hollow plastic scoubidou strands are woven together to create intricate patterns. This design uses blue, purple and pink strands in a round weave around a ball point pen refill. A purple bead is incorporated into the design for an added chic look. The ends of the strands are fed through a star shaped bead and wound into tight spirals.
Unfortunately, these pens are not refillable.

Inspiration
I first made these 'scoobies' when helping in a school craft club. I found them weirdly addictive and had to take mine home to finish. Before I knew it, I was trawling the internet for bags of the things and ideas for what else I could make with them.
They are very realxing to make and its amazing how the projects take on a life of their own once I start knotting, frequently ending up very different from my original idea.
