Scoobie pen
Description
Hand knotted chunky scoobie pen with zigzag pattern.
Hollow plastic scoubidou strands are woven together to create intricate patterns. This design uses light and dark blue strands in a round weave around a ball point pen refill. The pattern alternates resulting in a zigzag design. A checkerboard pattern is dispalyed at each end of the pen.
Unfortunately, these pens are not refillable.

Inspiration
I first made these 'scoobies' when helping in a school craft club. I found them weirdly addictive and had to take mine home to finish. Before I knew it, I was trawling the internet for bags of the things and ideas for what else I could make with them.
They are very realxing to make and its amazing how the projects take on a life of their own once I start knotting, frequently ending up very different from my original idea.
