What is a fat quarter and how do you sell them?
A fat quarter is a patchwork or quilting term for a piece of fabric
that is 18x22 inches in size. It's basically one yard (from the bolt) which has been quarter. It is a way of purchasing smaller quantities of fabric for sewer's who want a variety of prints or for smaller craft projects.
It is still easy to buy larger lengths of fabric for dress making, home decorating and quilting by ordering multiple fat quarters.
