A pair of baby shoes measuring approximately 10cm long allowing for a maximum of a 9cm foot, which should be suitable from newborn to approximately 3 months around 7-9lb.
The shoe is made from a suede effect fabric which has an integral soft fur lining, perfect for keeping toes cosy in the cooler weather. Hand stitched using a pale lilac yarn in blanket stitch, and threaded with a 1inch wide brown satin ribbon with a beige reverse. The ribbon is threaded through 5mm silver eyelets attached to the shoe for durability.
Made in a simple style with plenty of ribbon to make fastening them easier, and very decorative!
As always if unsure measure your babies foot, or an exisiting shoe/bootee that fits to gauge that these are suitable. I can only give a rough guide based on my research from a baby measurement chart. And as we all know babies do vary so much from standard!
I love making tiny shoes, just like in the story the elves & the shoemaker- ahh memories!!
When I found this georgeously soft fabric, although only a very small piece, I just had to make tiny shoes from it.
There are couple of other pairs made from this with embroidered detailing on them for tiny newborn babies, further in the catagory, but these are simple yet decorative with the ribbon fastening.
