Framed Jellyfish embroidered fabric picture - textile artwork
Description
This artwork is of a pale jellyfish with tentacles of ribbons, ric rac and embroidery, drifting across the quilted sparkling blue sea. Beneath it, amongst lace coral and green seaweeds, are a group of sea worms, reaching out their tendrils to catch passing prey.
This piece is assembled with a cream acid free mount and framed in solid oak. This frame has a nice ridge to the inner edge, giving it added interest. Measures 400mm by 400mm.
A premium piece which commands a premium setting in any home.
Inspiration
I love the seaside and the sea, and am fascinated by the myriad of colourful life it contains. I originally created my Treasures of the Ocean collection for children's rooms, but have sold many pieces to adults for living rooms. The jellyfish is an unusual study but its form and grace lends itself perfectly to being reproduced in fabrics and ribbons, and is a favourite of mine to create!
