Solid oak framed Jellyfish (large) fabric embroidered textile art picture
Description
Jellyfish are fascinating creatures, and this fabric artwork is of a cream jellyfish floating in the sea, with tentacles made of pearls, lace and ric rac, over-embroidered with satin thread. Below on the sea bed a pearl clam nestles against a rock and a starfish moves slowly across the sand.
The picture is made from vintage and modern fabrics, and a variety of embroidery techniques. The artwork is mounted on an acid free cream mount and framed under glass with a solid oak frame. There is a signed short bio of the artist on the reverse.
The overall picture size (ie including frame) is 505mm wide by 450mm high (c19.75 inches wide by 17 inches high). The embroidery aperature window is 360mm wide by 300 high (14 inches wide by 12.25 inches high).
This is a quality handmade premium piece and would make a fabulous gift or treat for your home! Equally suited for living rooms or children's rooms.
Other sea pictures are available to complement or if you have a smaller budget, then please consider one for our limited edition prints.
Inspiration
I love the seaside and the sea, and am fascinated by the myriad of colourful life it contains. I originally created my Treasures of the Ocean collection for children's rooms, but it has proven equally popular for adults for living rooms. The jellyfish is an unusual study but its form and grace lends itself perfectly to being reproduced in fabrics and ribbons.
