Antique Copper Ball Headpins
Description
Handmade rustic colored copper ball headpins
Pure copper wire has been torched to form a ball at one end, pickled to remove firescale and oxidised in liver of sulphur to give an antique finish
They were then cleaned with wire wool and polished in a tumbler to add a lovely shine and work-harden the headpins
The balls were then handpainted with a bright pink patina ink and protected with a coat of varnish
Great to use as headpins, dangles or curly tendrils
Please note the balls are pitted and rustic in style and not perfectly smooth and spherical!
